Practical checks for cooking with compatible cookware and caring for your hob.
Check compatibility
Look for the induction symbol on the vessel and its product information. A magnet sticking to the base is a useful clue but does not replace the hob's size and compatibility requirements.
Install correctly
Place a portable hob on a stable surface and follow the clearances in its manual. Keep ventilation openings unobstructed. Electrical installation must meet the manufacturer's requirements.
Cook
Centre a clean, dry base on the appropriate zone. Start at moderate power and adjust. Avoid heating empty cookware or sliding it over the surface.
If it will not heat
Check the vessel, its position and the displayed code in the manual. Do not open the appliance. Stop using it if the glass is cracked or the cable damaged and contact a qualified professional.
Clean
Switch off and allow to cool. Use the recommended products and tools. The surface can remain hot after switching off: no flame does not mean no heat.
